Location: New College Wetmore Hall is located at 21 Classic Avenue just south of the Athletic Centre. Take the stairs down to the basement and the classrooms are found on one side of the hallway.

END OF TERM PARTY

Join us on April 6th from 6-10pm at Wycliffe College (5 Hoskin Ave.) for an evening of performances, social dances and games.

Come at 6pm to take advantage of a FREE Beginner Salsa Lesson.

Performances will take place in a variety of different dance styles, and the evening will end with social dancing and games (including a limbo contest).

FREE FOOD will be available.

This entire event is FREE FOR EVERYONE!

Flash Mob in Support of the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre

UTDC is looking for dancers to participate in a Valentine’s Day Flash Mob in support of the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre!

We are looking for dancers! We are looking for at least 15-20 experienced (have taken a class or two before) dancers to be part of the entire routine, as well as around 50-60 more dancers to join us in the main chorus. About 75 in total.Experienced dancers will be expected to have taken a class or few dance classes before and/ or are familiar with learning a choreography. Nothing too complex!!If you have limited dance experience but want to be part of the fun anyways you can be part of the main chorus. This will include a relatively simple and repetitive routine.You must be available:Between 5:30 and 6pm on February 14th.You must come to 3 practices (if an experienced dancer), or 2 practices if you want to be part of the main chorus.PRACTICE TIMES:MAIN CHORUS (choose at least 1, but it would be best to come to all):

The flash mob is all ages, but any children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and directly supervised at all times (preferably by an adult who would also like to take part in the flash mob, but not necessary). High school age children should just get their parents’ permission before participating but do not require a parent/ guardian to accompany them. Essentially, it is up to the parents/ guardians of the child to deem what is safe for their child in terms of supervision. None of the organizers will be responsible for the supervision of minors.

Classes start the week of January 14th, 2013. The last week of classes start the week of March 25th, 2013. There will be no classes during Reading Week (February 18th-February 22nd, 2013).

All classes, except for those noted, will be a total of 10 weeks with each class being 1 hour long.

Classes, unless otherwise noted, are $40 for students and $80 for non-student per class for the entire term. Drop-in fees are $7 for students and $10 for non-students.

*JP’s Tuesday classes will start February 5th and will end April 2nd. They will be $32 for students and $64 for non-students for the entire 8 weeks per class. These performance classes do not require an audition, nor do you need to come with a partner.

**The Semi Private Salsa Training will consist of technique training, dance conditioning and musicality. There is a cap of 8 students. Pre-registration is encouraged and can be done at our office hours the week of January 14th. Spots may or may not be available on the first day of class. This class costs $50 for students and $90 for non-students for the entire 10-week term. No drop-ins for this class.

***Bollywood I & II will start on January 24th and will continue until April 4th (no class during reading week February 21st).

****Contemporary only runs from January 21st to March 25th (9 weeks). $32 for students, $72 for nonstudents.
